U.S. Soldiers Told to Ignore Sexual Abuse of Boys by Afghan Allies

2008

Dan Quinn was relieved of his Special Forces command after a fight with a U.S.-backed militia leader who had a boy as a sex slave chained to his bed.

KIRSTEN LUCE FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES

By JOSEPH GOLDSTEIN

SEPTEMBER 20, 2015

KABUL, Afghanistan — In his last phone call home, Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father what was troubling him: From his bunk in southernAfghanistan, he could hear Afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought to the base.

“At night we can hear them screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything about it,” the Marine’s father, Gregory Buckley Sr., recalled his son telling him before he was shot to death at the base in 2012. He urged his son to tell his superiors. “My son said that his officers told him to look the other way because it’s their culture.”

Rampant sexual abuse of children has long been a problem in Afghanistan, particularly among armed commanderswho dominate much of the rural landscape and can bully the population. The practice is called bacha bazi, literally “boy play,” and American soldiers and Marines have been instructed not to intervene — in some cases, not even when their Afghan allies have abused boys on military bases, according to interviews and court records.

The policy has endured as American forces have recruited and organized Afghan militias to help hold territory against the Taliban. But soldiers and Marines have been increasingly troubled that instead of weeding out pedophiles, the American military was arming them in some cases and placing them as the commanders of villages.

MARINES TRAINED THAT RAPE IN AFGHANISTAN IS A ‘CULTURAL’ ISSUE

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/09/23/marines-taught-to-look-the-other-way-when-afghans-rape-children.html

From the article:

The Daily Beast obtained a copy of the script for the training session, which includes a set of PowerPoint slides and instructions about what those leading the session are supposed to say on sexual abuse in other countries.

The training guide supports allegations by Marines and Army soldiers in recent days that they’ve been told not to intervene to prevent sexual assault in Afghanistan, including the rape and sexual enslavement of children on U.S. bases.

Are you afraid to die?

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— **and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.**
Hebrews 2:14-15 NIV
http://bible.com/111/heb.2.14-15.NIV

John Wesley was raised in a Christian home. He attended church.

When he and his brother Charles went to Oxford, both they and a friend, George Whitefield, we're given the nickname the Methodist because they went out of their way to methodically serve God. They got up early to study and read the Bible before classes. They ate very plainly so they could give extra money to the poor. They didn't cut their hair as often as others so they could give that extra money to the poor. They visited the sick and those in prison. They preached all that they could. They had open air preaching to the lost. John decided to go to America as a missionary to the Indians.

Everything about John Wesley's life said that he was a Christian man. Then he went to America.

According to his testimony he met a group of people called the Moravians on the ship to or from America. He attended the services and spent time talking to them.

On the trip they were caught in a tremendous storm. Everyone on the ship was terrified of dying. The sailors were terrified that they were going to be destroyed in this storm. The only people we weren't afraid where the Moravians. They are holding a church service.

**John Wesley told the Lord that he was afraid to die. He said he wondered why would he was afraid to die. If he wad Christian he should not be. The Moravians aren't afraid to die. That's all John Wesley knew he wasn't born again.**

Naturally he became born again later, but what I'm pointing out is **in John Wesley's testimony he said that he knew he wasn't a true Christian no matter how much he read the Bible or prayed or gave to the poor or attending church or even preached. He knew he wasn't born again because he was afraid to die.**

**That scripture in Hebrews says that one of the characteristics of a born again person that don't fear death.**

Here is the hope. After John Wesley came to know that he wasn't born again, he thought God until he was.

John Wesley heard someone reading Martin Luther's introduction to the book of Romans at a church service. During that reading, received the new birth.

Nobody many different. John Wesley's not special. God will give the new birth to anybody who repents of their sins and believes.

If God said why isn't working?
You don't believe it. Everything requires faith to work in you. You will enjoy this only to the degree you know it and believe it.

Romans 1:16

Either that one of these laws rules a man
Paramount. This law sits upon the throne of your heart and rules the entire man. Sin and death or the law of Spirit. Affects whole being.

I would agree with your pastor.

I must be queen of the more unpopular truths.

Here it comes.

According to the Bible one of the qualifications for being truly born again is true repentance.

True repentance, biblical repentance, always comes before a real salvation. Always. There's no a chance at all that anybody is ever born again without having first repented. It is impossible. It never has happened.

This is true even for children.

According to the Bible, true repentance begins with a sight of sin that comes from God himself.

People don't come up with this on their own. A person may very well just know they're not right with God and something in their life has to change. That person is perfectly capable of turning to God, but true repentance always begins with a sight of sin that comes from the Holy Ghost.

That sight of sin is very much "O the wretched man that I am" sight of sin
People don't come up with this by themselves particularly in this era of self-esteem teaching.

This sight of sin which is a revelation from the Holy Ghost always leads to hatred of sin, confession of sin, and turning
from that sin and giving up that sin forever

**This biblical repentance that always begins with a sight of sin that comes from God himself always includes a sound recognition that you deserve to go to hell forever because of the things that you have done.** A truly repentant person is in **complete agreement with God's sentence upon him for his sin.** A truly repentant person will look at God and sometimes people around them and say, "I deserve to go to hell forever."

A person who does not know that hell is real is not a person that is born again.

A person that has no understanding of just how wicked their own sin is and how they deserved to spend eternity in hell for their own sin is not born again. They cannot be. They haven't even gotten to the first part of repentance yet. It's a bad sign.

Is annihilation supported in the scriptures? No. Is hell as an eternal punishment for the center supported in Scripture? Yes it is. Jesus himself described Hell in just those terms.

I know that others in this thread have made that argument. I want to make sure that this point is made.

A person who does not know from the Holy Ghost himself that he deserves to go to hell forever and be punished in hell forever for the sins he personally has committed against the Holy God isn't born again at all.

If faith did not bring about a new birth, it is not faith.

Salvation is far more broad than is usually meant.

9-11 memories

This is a reposting of a blog entry I wrote several years ago. I repost it on 9-11.

Never forget.
Who is not thinking about that terrible day two years ago. I was at work at the Independent Living center. At that time I worked with Chip, who is blind and a case worker. We were doing quarterly visits, visiting several of his people.

I was at my desk getting some of the necessary paperwork ready when my office mate, Shelly, got a telephone call from Marcia, a co worker who was off that day.
I heard Shelly say, “What?”
Her voice caused me to look up at her.
“Marcia said that a plane has hit the World Trade Center. Turn on the TV,” she said to me.

I went to find it, Some one else had already turned it on. Shelly and I joined the group of people around the television. Chip stood beside me listening to the broadcast that he could not see.

The first tower was burning. I know I was not the only one who thought that it was a small plane that just strayed off course. Who could have imagined what really occurred? That changed. Standing there we saw the replay of the second plane.
There were many sharp intakes of breath.
I said, “Oh Chip, it’s a jet. It’s not an accident.”
We stood open mouthed watching that plane strike that building over and over and listening to the frantic voices of the newscasters. Then came the terrible news that the Pentagon was also hit.

Chip and I had to leave to visit his people. We got into the car, Chip looked at me and said, " I just need to pray.”

I said, “Oh Chip, how many people do you think work in those buildings?”

We prayed out loud as I drove to us to our first visit.

It was a lovely lady who has now gone on. When we arrived at her home, her daughter was in the other room in front of the television, She didn’t leave the room to greet us as she normally did. She was staring at the television horrified.
“One of the towers has collapsed,” she told us,
I rushed to see the image.

Again I said, “How many people were at work in those buildings today?”

At yet another person’s house Chip and I learned that many firemen died when those buildings came down.

I still remember one of Chip’s people saying to Chip, “Should a man buy a house in days like these?”

My husband was glued to his radio at our business.

At church, everyone was gathering for Tuesday school, the homeschool day. It was time for choir practice. The attack must have occurred when most of them were driving to church. They too gathered around a television. Tuesday school was cancelled. Instead they had prayer.

One of my sisters in Christ, Patty, still tells about watching those people jump out of the windows to their deaths to avoid a certain death by fire. I did not see that on the television. I saw that in a still picture days later.
The images are still with me. I still feel anger when I watch those planes fly into that building. I feel a solemn grief when I see the images of the buildings collapsing. I can still cry when I think about the great courage of the New York City Fire Department and police department and all of those people that rushed into those collapsing buildings to save who could be saved. Of the news stories of the people who spent days working on that pile looking for anybody who was alive. I remember the images of men and women posting pictures everywhere with signs that said, "Have you seen this person."

I did not hear about the fourth playing until at evening. That's when I heard the news about the plane that crashed in the field in Pennsylvania and the great courage shown by the people on that plane.

From now on we well all say, “Where you on 9-11.

Later that terrible day two years ago, I went to the hospital to be with my beloved sister who was going to have a CAT scan to find out about the spots on her liver. I got there too late. I meet her on the parking lot as she was leaving. She told me about what happened at Tuesday school. I shared my experiences with her as was our habit. The next day we learned that those spots were cancer. She died nine months later.

Edit:

We are shaping up right now for something much worse than 911. The invasion of what people are calling refugees in Europe, the United States deal with Iran, our open border, and several other things point to a huge collapse that is coming soon. 911 will be small compared to what's coming next. I just know there is.

What is happening in Europe is not a group of refugees fleeing a bad situation in their own country. It's an invasion. When a group of people flee their own country for whatever political reason they normally stay close to their own country. They are not well fed. These are.

It is true refugee situation you will find many elderly and women and children. In this situation most of my young men.

The Iran deal is going to give millions of American dollars to terrorists because they're going to be giving millions of American dollars to Iran. It will mean that Israel is absolutely alone in the world. That's prophecy. Get ready.

In the answering questions before they are asked section:

When I talk like this someone is going to say something about my being afraid.

Afraid? Not on your life. I'm waiting for this. I'm longing for this. I'm looking forward to this. Bring it on! Quickly! I cannot wait. I know what's happening. I cannot wait.

My pastor talked about this Sunday morning. He said that we haven't seen the full harvest of the field thats going that is going to come.

He said that the seeds of filth and violence are in our children from music and movies and culture and all of the sin that we have allowed in this nation for years.

He said the Bible said in last days people will be without natural feeling and natural affection. They will be self absorbed and lovers of self.

Part of the problem is also the decade of the self esteem Gospel that is been taught in a public schools. The Church bought into this and molded our Gospel around this self esteem. This idea that you can't hurt anybody's feelings by telling thme truth. Feeling bad for sin is a bad thing. There's no way to calculate the damage that has been done from this. I believe it 100%

We are witnessing a major decay in our culture. We are living out Romans chapter 1 verses 18 to 32.

As a kid in the 60s growing up in Mid west, I clearly remember my teacher reading to us from the Bible every day when I was in the third grade. I remember every day we stood up and said the Pledge of Allegiance immediately followed by the Lord's Prayer every morning. I used to think they were connected, that they were one thing. Everyday. I am not that old. This was common in the sixties. Until one wicked woman took a case to the Supreme Court and God was cast out of public schools.

Princeton God has become has been cashed out

Just a note. That wicked woman and her daughter were found murdered and their bodies stuffed in barrels. They live a miserable life. They died a miserable death. They regret everything they did now.

The SCOTUS' ruling on Obamacare and homosexual marriage means the Constitution will now say whatever leftists want it to say.  Folks, do you realize that based on this new precedent, the left can make anything they want a law?  Incest, pedophilia, bestiality, and so on?

Christians with their heads not buried in the sand knew that jail time was coming for Christians who refuse to bow down and worship homosexuals' false god.

In response to the SCOTUS ruling on homosexual marriage, a mega-church pastor said he hoped it would not infringe upon our religious freedom.  I thought, "Well, duh!"  That is the purpose of the attacks and lawsuits: to criminalize biblical standards.

"Wedding chapels, cakes, flowers, and everything else needed for homosexuals to marry are readily available to them.  Homosexuals' ultimate mission is to force Christians to rubber-stamp their behavior, thus betraying the true God."

"This is about saying no to being bullied into embracing anti-biblical behavior."

"The radical homosexual movement is a form of the Mark of the Beast.  In essence, any business or household that does not display the homosexual rainbow flag over its doorway will not be permitted to exist."

"When did we lose the power, folks, becoming subservient to 2% of the population, forced to comply or end up in jail?"

Kim Davis realizes that the Creator's Law trumps the creation's law.  This is why she has the strength to in essence say, "Y'all can have a fit and even throw me in jail – I will not bow down and worship your god."  Trust me: the forces of evil are outraged.  Note that all the vitriol is coming from the left, not from Christians.

Police find toddler's head in Chicago park lagoon

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/09/07/cops-find-body-parts-toddler-in-chicago-park-lagoon/?intcmp=hplnws

I am very sorry that this is happening to this child, however, we need to stop looking for the perpetrators right this minute.

Whoever murdered this child and cut it into pieces and threw it in the garbage hasn't done anything different from what Planned Parenthood does in their clinics over 1500 times a day every single day.

Many people don't think there's anything wrong with that.

This person or these people murdered this child. Planned Parenthood murders 1500 children a day.

The murderers of the child cut it into pieces and threw it into the trash.

Planned Parenthood cuts the children they murder into pieces, sells the body parts that they can sell, and throws the rest of the child's body into the trash.

As long as it's legal for Planned Parenthood to continue their behavior, no charges should be pressed against the people who has done this to this child.

There is no difference between Planned Parenthood and the Sisters of Josef Mengele that work at Planned Parenthood and the murderers that have done this atrocious deed to this child.

Are Homos targeting Christians?

Homosexuals are in the purposefully targeting Christian businesses and Christians in general for Destruction because we're the only people that tell them the truth about their sin.

Let me quote the following article.

Christian Wedding Vendors Under Attack
In 2006, a noted advocate for traditional marriage, Maggie Gallagher, warned that the legalization of same-sex marriage would lead to constraints on religious freedom. Writing in the Weekly Standard, Gallagher saw the end of adoptions services by Boston Catholic Charities as a foreshadowing of things to come.

as of this writing, there have been at least 11 instances of wedding vendors and venues facing some form of recrimination—threats, boycotts, protests, and the intervention of state or judicial authorities—because they denied services for gay nuptials because of their faith. Besides Sweet Cakes by Melissa, they are:

■ Masterpiece Cakeshop, Colorado: Owner Jack Phillips refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in July. The Lakewood bakery has faced at least two protests, a Facebook-driven boycott, and a discrimination complaint from the state Attorney General that was scheduled for a hearing in September. Phillips has said he would rather close his bakeshop than compromise his Christian beliefs. (Sources: news reports including Washington Times and Huffington Post.)

■ Victoria’s Cake Cottage, Iowa: Baker Victoria Childress denied service to a lesbian couple hoping to get married in 2011. The Des Moines baker was called a “bigot” and faced a protest and Facebook boycott but refused to budge, citing her Christian faith. (Sources: news reports including Washington Times and Huffington Post.)

■ Fleur Cakes, Oregon: Pam Regentin, the owner of the Mount Hood-area cake shop, refused to make a cake for a lesbian couple earlier this year, sparking another Facebook boycott in May. (Sources: news reports including local television.)

■ Liberty Ridge Farm, New York: The family-owned farm in mid-state New York is facing a human rights complaint after refusing to host a lesbian wedding in 2012. (Sources: local news sources here and here and the Huffington Post.)

■ All Occasion Party Place, Texas: In February, the Fort Worth-based wedding venue declined to host a wedding reception for a gay couple. An online boycott has now been launched against the business. (Sources: local news and the Huffington Post.)

■ Gortz Haus, Iowa: After refusing to host a gay wedding (reported in August), Betty Odgaard, the owner of the business, received threatening calls and e-mails and now must contend with a complaint the couple has filed with the state civil rights commission. (Sources: local news sources here and here and the Huffington Post.)

■ Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, New Jersey: In 2012, a state judge ruled that a Methodist-owned events venue in Ocean Grove violated state law when it refused to host a gay wedding in 2007. Also, while the discrimination case was still pending, the facility lost its state tax exemption because it was deemed “no longer met the requirements as a place open to all members of the public,” the New York Times reported. (Sources: The New York Times here and here, Philadelphia Inquirer, and LifeSiteNews.)

■ Elane Photography, New Mexico: The state Supreme Court ruled in August that a New Mexico photography business owned by Elaine Huguenin and her husband Jon could not legally deny services to same-sex couples. The photographer had refused service for a lesbian commitment ceremony in 2006. One of the women had filed a complaint with the state Human Rights Commission, which ruled against the photographers in 2008, prompting an appeals process that led to the high court decision. It’s now unclear what will happen to the business. (Sources: press releases and news reports including the Catholic News Agency and the Santa Fe New Mexican. The case is discussed further below.)

■ Arlene’s Flowers, Washington: A florist refused to provide flowers to a gay wedding last March and now owner Baronelle Stutzman is facing a lawsuit from the state Attorney General. (Sources: news reports including local television and the Associated Press.)

■ Wildflower Inn, Vermont: A lesbian couple sued the Wildflower Inn under the state public accommodations law in 2011 after being told they could not have their wedding reception there. The owners were reportedly open to holding same-sex ceremonies as long as customers were notified that the events personally violated their Catholic faith. It wasn’t enough. The inn had to settle the case in 2012, paying a $10,000 fine and putting double that amount in a charitable trust. Also, the inn is no longer hosting weddings, although the decision reportedly was made before the settlement. (Sources: The New York Times and Huffington Post.)

These cases represent a new battlefield in the clash between the freedoms of Christians and the “radical homosexual agenda,” said Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of The Thomas Moore Law Center. “Despite their relatively small numbers, radical homosexuals wield enormous power. They dominate our cultural elite, Hollywood, television, the mainstream news media, public schools, academia, and a significant portion of the judiciary,” Thompson said in an e-mail interview. “As a result of their power, homosexual activists are able to intimidate and silence opposition.”

Such fundamental clashes are linked to the spreading legalization of same-sex marriage. Of the 11 total cases cited above, three occurred within two years of their state legalizing same-sex marriage. A fourth came four years afterwards. Four others were in states that did not have same-sex marriage but had granted some legal recognition to same-sex unions, such as domestic partnerships or civil unions. “When you start recognizing same-sex marriage, these cases are going to start coming up,” said Jim Campbell, an Alliance for Defense attorney involved in the New Mexico case.
